I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
